Da Hood is one of the most intense PvP games on Roblox. New players get destroyed within seconds of spawning because the combat system is fast, unforgiving, and nobody explains the controls. This guide covers everything you need to survive your first day and start winning fights.

🎮 All Controls (PC)
These are the controls you need to memorize before doing anything else:
- W / A / S / D - Move around
- Left Shift - Sprint
- Left Ctrl - Crouch
- Left Click - Attack / Shoot (with weapon equipped)
- F - Block / Weave (timing matters)
- E - Stomp (when standing over a downed player)
- G - Carry a player
- Shift + G - Ragdoll (makes you fall over)
- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - Switch inventory slots
- Spacebar - Jump
The most important controls to practice are F (block/weave), quick slot switching (1-5), and E (stomp). Master these three and you will already be better than most beginners.
🔫 Best Weapons Tier List
Not all weapons are equal in Da Hood. Here is what to buy and what to skip:
S Tier - The Meta
- Revolver - The best all-around weapon. High damage at mid-range, fast swap speed. Every good player carries one. Use it to chip health before closing in.
- Double Barrel Shotgun (DB) - The finisher. Two shots of massive close-range damage. You weaken them with Revolver, then swap to DB to end the fight.
A Tier - Strong Options
- Pump Shotgun - More forgiving than the DB since it holds more shots. Less burst damage but more consistent.
- AK-47 - Great if you have good aim. Melts people at medium range once their armor breaks.
- RPG-7 - Highest damage weapon in the game. Area damage is crazy. Use it to turn around 3v1 fights. Be careful of self-damage.
B Tier - Situational
- Tactical Shotgun - Decent consistency and has a flashlight. Lacks the burst of DB though.
- Bat - Solid melee weapon for saving cash. Good for styling on people in 1v1s.
- SMG / LMG - Spray weapons. Good for breaking armor but not great for finishing.
C Tier - Skip
- Knife - Too short range, too low damage.
- Pistol - Outclassed by Revolver in every way.
The loadout 90% of top players use: Revolver + Double Barrel. Buy these two first and learn to swap between them quickly.
⚔️ Combat Tips - How to Actually Win Fights
Knowing the controls is one thing. Winning fights is another. Here is what separates good players from easy targets:
- Never stand still. Use W/A/S/D, jump, and crouch constantly while fighting. A moving target is 10x harder to hit.
- Learn the Revolver + DB swap. Shoot Revolver 2-3 times at mid range, then rush in and swap to Double Barrel for the kill. This is the core combat loop.
- Time your blocks. Pressing F at the right moment lets you weave incoming attacks. Practice the timing in 1v1s.
- Watch your ammo. The DB only has 2 shots. If you miss both, swap back to Revolver immediately instead of reloading in the open.
- Use cover. Walls, cars, buildings. Peek out, shoot, duck back. Do not fight in open areas if you can help it.
- Third-party fights. If you see two people fighting, wait until one is low health, then jump in. Free kills.
👟 How to Stomp & Finish Players
Stomping is how you actually eliminate someone in Da Hood. Just downing them is not enough.
- Down the enemy - Reduce their health to zero. They will fall flat on the ground.
- Stand over them - Walk directly on top of their body.
- Press E - This starts the stomp animation and finishes them.
Important things to know about stomping:
- There is a short window before they can get back up. Do not hesitate.
- You are completely vulnerable during the stomp animation. Look around first to make sure nobody else is about to shoot you.
- If other enemies are nearby, sometimes it is smarter to leave the downed player and deal with the threat first.
🛡️ How to Not Die (Survival Tips)
Staying alive in Da Hood is harder than getting kills. Here is how to survive:
- Always carry food. Buy popcorn or other food items. Eat after every fight to heal up. Never walk around with low health.
- Keep armor equipped. Armor absorbs damage before your health takes a hit. Re-buy it every time it breaks.
- Stay with a crew. Solo players get jumped constantly. Run with friends or find a group. Groups of 3-4 dominate servers.
- Know the safe zones. Learn where the safe areas are on the map and use them to heal, restock, and plan your next move.
- Do not camp in one spot. Staying in one place makes you an easy target. Keep moving between areas.
- If you are losing, run. There is no shame in disengaging. Sprint away, heal up, and come back when you are ready.
- Watch your energy bar. Blocking uses energy. If you run out, you cannot block anymore. Use energy drinks to refill.
💰 How to Make Money Fast
You need cash to buy weapons, food, and armor. Here is how to farm it:
- Rob cash registers. Walk up to any cash register and punch it. Use the "ultimate punch" (hold down your attack button) for extra damage and faster cash.
- Hit ATMs. Same concept as registers. ATMs are found around the map and give decent cash.
- Loot downed players. When you stomp someone, you can take their stuff. This includes cash and weapons.
- Do not spend on expensive weapons first. Start with a Revolver (cheapest meta weapon), get kills, loot players, then buy the Double Barrel.
⚙️ Best Settings for PvP
- Graphics: Set to 1 bar (lowest). Almost every serious Da Hood player does this. Lower graphics means higher FPS, smoother gameplay, and less visual clutter. PvP performance matters more than how the game looks.
- Sensitivity: Medium-high. You need to turn fast in close-range fights. Test different values until you can track moving targets comfortably.
- Shift Lock: Off. Most experienced players use free camera for better awareness of surroundings.
❌ Mistakes Every Beginner Makes
- Walking around with no weapon equipped. Always have something ready. You will get jumped when you least expect it.
- Fighting without food. You will lose every extended fight if you cannot heal between exchanges.
- Standing still while shooting. Movement is the difference between dying instantly and winning fights.
- Reloading in the open. Swap weapons instead of reloading. The DB has 2 shots, swap to Revolver, use those, then swap back.
- Picking fights with groups. Unless you are very experienced, avoid 1v3+ situations. Pick off solo players first.
- Spending all money on expensive guns before learning to fight. A skilled Revolver player beats a bad RPG player every time. Learn the basics first.
- Ignoring the gym. You can build muscle at the gym to hit harder. It is a small edge but it adds up.
